Siemens chooses IMM

Siemens in Muelheim, Germany decides for Technology from IMM for belt grinding complex steam turbine blades.

During a thorough evaluation phase comparisons were conducted between robotic grinding and grinding on the machine tool MTS-1800-800-6NC. The positioning accuracy, tool path accuracy, programming and handling of the MTS convinced all participating departments at Siemens and therefore the decision was made in favor of the IMM machine.

Siemens is already using IMM machines at worldwide manufacturing locations and we are extremely proud to supply our technology to Muelheim as well. The machine is running in production in 2 to 3 shift operation since September 2015.
